Description
Our client, a top management consulting firm, is supporting a leading telecom operator in data science activities. We urgently need Data Scientists to join the team for 3 months (with possible extension)
- The start date is around mid-October
- Work can be executed remotely within the USA
Responsibilities
- Consolidate, prepare, and analyze data
- Provide insights around developing data models and algorithms to tackle different business questions
- Participate in the production of the whole process pipeline: domain understanding, data understanding, data preparation & feature extraction, modelling, model evaluation, and model deployment. Produce the required data structures and data marts
- Perform data analysis and produce data models and algorithms to address selected business issues
- Interpret and present the results to both, technical and non-technical audiences
Professional background
- Education/ Certification: Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, or related field
- Master in analytics-data is valued
- Languages: advanced English
- Relevant experience working as a data scientist freelancer with consulting companies (Oliver Wyman, MCK, BCG or other consulting firms)
- Previous exposure to the Telecom Industry (with consulting firms or as part of the staff of a telecom operator)
- Experience in data treatment and preparation
- Experience in modelling
- Experience in various coding frameworks, with Python and SQL advanced experience
- Previous exposure to Snowflake is highly appreciated
